CCCi History

You don't simply become a high-impact IT professional services company overnight.

You have to believe in what you do. You have to have impeccable ethics and integrity. Most of all, you have to work hard every day to earn and retain the trust, respect and loyalty of the most important people you serve — your staff, your clients, your consultants and your community. Since our humble beginnings in 1978, this philosophy has driven everything we do at CCCi, and it continues to be the secret to our success.

It all started with an IT consultant who knew there was a better way…

Our story started one fateful day in the 1970s when Pat McBrayer, a respected IT consultant, got fed up. Troubled by the unethical business practices he witnessed in the industry, including his own resume being misrepresented to a client without his knowledge, Pat decided there had to be a better way. So he struck out on his own and the rest, as they say, is history.

Pat and his wife, Charleen, were among the pioneers in the IT professional services industry when they launched a one-customer consulting business in Atlanta called Comprehensive Computer Consulting, Inc. in 1978 (and that first customer is still a CCCi client today!). Pat and Charleen grew CCCi from a company with one IT consultant to a thriving firm that would one day employ more than 400 IT professionals and serve a diverse and prestigious client base.

Putting people first

Since day one, CCCi has marched to a different drummer, placing the value of people and relationships above all else. The dedication to building the business one relationship at a time and putting people first has sustained the test of time and propelled CCCi’s growth throughout even the most challenging economic times.

Upon Pat’s passing in 1995, Charleen became CEO and held firm to Pat’s vision of helping IT professionals and connecting customers with high-quality IT services. Guided by CCCi’s principles and values, Charleen has steadily grown the business into the premier IT professional services firm it is today.
